Overall

ValueB-

FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Buccaneers. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Buccaneers spent the 255th pick on Kedon Slovis, a name most had 59 spots down the list. No fireworks, but a solid B.
However the rest shakes out, Washington at that price is a win they earned. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
In the 30th pick they get juice off the edge, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick42
Rnd2
Tyler Nubin
Fair-plus on Tyler Nubin, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick72
Rnd3
Sedrick Van Pran
Sedrick Van Pran at No. 72 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick93
Rnd3
Trey Benson
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Trey Benson. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick135
Rnd4
Jaylin Simpson
No edge and no loss on Jaylin Simpson in Round 4, Pick 35; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
Pick159
Rnd5
Jarrian Jones
They read the board right and Jarrian Jones was the payoff at the Round 5 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick168
Rnd5
Tyrice Knight
They reached into another round for Tyrice Knight, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick203
Rnd6
Myles Murphy
Myles Murphy in the Round 6 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick216
Rnd6
Tahj Washington
Somehow Tahj Washington was still sitting there in pick 216, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick244
Rnd7
Trevin Wallace
A tidy bit of business in the 244th pick, where Trevin Wallace graded well above the range. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick255
Rnd7
Kedon Slovis
Kedon Slovis in Round 7, Pick 35 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
