Mudski57 DRAFTING FOR THEBears
Draft Grade — Bears
Overall
B-
ValueB-

FutureB-
A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a B- weekend for the Bears. The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. However the rest shakes out, Brownlee Jr. at that price is a win they earned. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
In the Round 1 slot they get their quarterback of the future. A real need, handled.
Pick9
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In Round 1, Pick 9 they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick75
Rnd3
Mike Sainristil
No edge and no loss on Mike Sainristil in No. 75; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick122
Rnd4
Jarvis Brownlee Jr.
Jarvis Brownlee Jr. is a better player than the 122nd overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
