More right than wrong for the Bears, and a B- to prove it.

You can usually follow a front office's logic. This one is harder. The Bears spent the 75th pick on Maason Smith while interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots sat unaddressed. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. They banked enough surplus on Rattler to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Jennings pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
