TDBUCS DRAFTING FOR THEBuccaneers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall
B-
ValueB
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Buccaneers robbed the room for Kinchens. Final grade: B-. When a board-topper like Kamren Kinchens slides to pick No. 58, you do not overthink it, and the Buccaneers did not. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
Every board in the league had Harris Jr. lower, and that gap is the story. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Terrion Arnold
In slot 26 they get an island corner. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick58
Rnd2
Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens at Round 2, Pick 26 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick89
Rnd3
Johnny Wilson
The board had Johnny Wilson higher than the 89th overall pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It fills a real need, too.
Pick126
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
They jumped the gun on Cedric Gray, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick204
Rnd6
Tanor Bortolini
A premium they did not need to pay, Tanor Bortolini a notch or two before his time. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick220
Rnd6
Rasheen Ali
Rasheen Ali in pick 220 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The roster fit checks out.
Pick247
Rnd7
Donell Harris Jr.
Donell Harris Jr. at the Round 7 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A need, and now a little less of one.
