You can hear the double-takes from here. The 49ers took Justin Rogers at pick No. 131, roughly 34 spots before his name belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Landing Tampa that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The 49ers indulged a want in Jackson while a need in running back, quarterback and other spots stayed open.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
