Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans answered their biggest question with Ward. Grade: B-.

You build a draft on nights like this. Sebastian Castro had no business being available in slot 188, and the Titans did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

The cost of the Cooper reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In the 1st overall pick they get the face of the franchise. A real need, handled.
Pick63 Rnd2 Bradyn Swinson
A reasonable price with a little left over, Bradyn Swinson in slot 63. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick66 Rnd3 Xavier Restrepo
Xavier Restrepo in pick No. 66 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick103 Rnd4 Tyler Cooper
A real head-scratcher, Tyler Cooper in the Round 4 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick120 Rnd4 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Dont'e Thornton Jr.. The roster fit checks out.
Pick141 Rnd5 Jake Briningstool
Jake Briningstool at Round 5, Pick 3 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick167 Rnd5 Jalen McLeod
A wild overpay on Jalen McLeod in pick 167, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick178 Rnd6 Caleb Rogers
They reached into another round for Caleb Rogers, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick188 Rnd6 Sebastian Castro
Steal is underselling it; Sebastian Castro at the 188th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It adds depth where they could use a little.
