Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Jaguars let Neal fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

The Jaguars spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Devin Neal, the No. 82 name on the board, in slot 142. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Ferguson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Jalon Walker
In No. 5 they get the heartbeat of the defense, though the board says they badly overpaid. A real need, handled.
Pick36 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins at the 36th pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick70 Rnd3 Omarr Norman-Lott
No edge and no loss on Omarr Norman-Lott in the 70th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick88 Rnd3 Terrance Ferguson
They talked themselves into Terrance Ferguson at pick No. 88, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick107 Rnd4 Jared Wilson
They did well to land Jared Wilson in Round 4, Pick 5, just ahead of his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126 Rnd4 Kaimon Rucker
Kaimon Rucker in the Round 4 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick142 Rnd5 Devin Neal
They robbed the room for Devin Neal here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick182 Rnd6 Cobee Bryant
You do not let a cornerback like Cobee Bryant reach slot 182 and blink. They did not. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick194 Rnd6 O'Donnell Fortune
O'Donnell Fortune at slot 194 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
