Luiz DRAFTING FOR THESteelers

Larceny in Round 1, Pick 21 lands the Steelers a B, Jeanty and all. Call it larceny. Ashton Jeanty sat on the board until the 21st overall pick, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice.
That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Shough has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The skill positions did well by the weekend.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Ashton Jeanty
In the 21st overall pick they get a workhorse for the backfield, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick83
Rnd3
Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter at pick 83 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It fills a real need, too.
Pick123
Rnd4
Tyler Shough
A real head-scratcher, Tyler Shough in No. 123 is miles ahead of his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick156
Rnd5
Nick Nash
A tidy little value on Nick Nash in the Round 5 slot, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick185
Rnd6
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
A premium they did not need to pay, Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins a notch or two before his time. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
