Truckley45 DRAFTING FOR THETitans
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Titans
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Titans, and a B to prove it. The Titans' one glaring miss is interior defensive lineman, a need they left exactly as they found it. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
They will need Castell to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Delane steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Rueben Bain Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick33
Rnd2
Mansoor Delane
A quiet steal in the 33rd overall pick: Mansoor Delane for less than the market said. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick65
Rnd3
Nyck Harbor
A tidy little value on Nyck Harbor in Round 3, Pick 1, a step better than break-even. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick101
Rnd4
Harold Perkins Jr.
No edge and no loss on Harold Perkins Jr. in slot 101; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
Pick144
Rnd5
Logan Jones
They took Logan Jones at par in the 144th pick, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick179
Rnd6
Terion Stewart
A straight-up fair deal on Terion Stewart at pick 179, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick215
Rnd7
Jordan Castell
They paid a round early for Jordan Castell in pick No. 215, more than the board wanted. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick240
Rnd7
Tristan Leigh
A reach on Tristan Leigh in No. 240; the board had better options right there. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
