This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Charles Grant, the No. 94 name on the board, stolen at Round 4, Pick 36. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The trade work was a quiet net positive. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.
