A sensible, unshowy class lands the Cowboys a B-.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Kalil Alexander, 48 picks early at the Round 7 slot.

That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Cowboys indulged a want in Mesidor while a need in cornerback, offensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
