The Jaguars ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. If McGlothern pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The veteran additions, Tutu Atwell chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
