Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Lions spent No. 244 on Jalen Travis, a name the board had a full 45 spots lower. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They banked enough surplus on Skattebo to cover a lot of smaller sins. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
