Clark should have been long gone. The Texans pounced, and earned a D.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Texans, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

Reaching for Taylor III left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Clark at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
