Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B- to prove it.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Packers walked out of the weekend still thin at quarterback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The Keegan pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. However the rest shakes out, Colson at that price is a win they earned.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Dallas Turner
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41 Rnd2 Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens at slot 41 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick57 Rnd2 Jonathon Brooks
No drama and no debate, Jonathon Brooks went about where he belonged in the 57th pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick88 Rnd3 Junior Colson
They read the board right and Junior Colson was the payoff at the 88th overall pick. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick91 Rnd3 Tyler Davis
Tyler Davis in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick125 Rnd4 Isaiah Adams
Isaiah Adams at No. 125 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick135 Rnd4 Kamal Hadden
By-the-book stuff, Kamal Hadden at pick 135 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick203 Rnd6 Christian Jones
Christian Jones at pick No. 203 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick217 Rnd6 Jawhar Jordan
Jawhar Jordan slid further than he should have, and the 217th pick is lovely value for the running back. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick219 Rnd6 Trevor Keegan
Trevor Keegan in pick No. 219 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick246 Rnd7 Eric Gentry
Eric Gentry at No. 246 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
