Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Texans spent the 245th overall pick on J.J. Weaver, a name most had 66 spots down the list. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The Franklin pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.
