The Raiders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Dillon Gabriel tumbling to the Raiders in the 214th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
