The Titans let Eichenberg fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Tommy Eichenberg got past him. The Titans do not have to explain a thing at slot 182. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

In pick 13 they get a long-term starter on the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.

Kingsley Suamataia at the 97th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

DJ James slid further than he should have, and the 106th overall pick is lovely value for the cornerback. It adds depth where they could use a little.

They read the board right and Kamren Kinchens was the payoff at No. 112. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.

Elijah Jones at slot 146 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
