There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Vikings started one anyway for J. Michael Sturdivant, 23 picks ahead of schedule. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Coleman at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The Vikings indulged a want in Barham while a need in quarterback, edge rusher and other spots stayed open.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
