Draft Grade — Packers

FutureB-
Grand theft in the Round 2 slot: the Packers steal Banks and grade out a B. The board owed the Packers one, and it paid up: Caleb Banks, the No. 27 name on the board, sitting there at the 52nd overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. If Capehart pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick52
Rnd2
Caleb Banks
Caleb Banks in the 52nd pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick84
Rnd3
Keionte Scott
A tidy bit of business in pick 84, where Keionte Scott graded well above the range. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick120
Rnd4
DeMonte Capehart
They went early on DeMonte Capehart in pick No. 120, and the value did not follow. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick158
Rnd5
Aamil Wagner
They paid sticker price for Aamil Wagner in Round 5, Pick 20, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick199
Rnd6
Jerry Wilson
Jerry Wilson at slot 199 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick236
Rnd7
Ricardo Hallman
Ricardo Hallman in No. 236 is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick254
Rnd7
Jalil Farooq
The board had Jalil Farooq higher than the Round 7 slot, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick257
Rnd7
Ja'Keem Jackson
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Ja'Keem Jackson at the 257th overall pick is the proof. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
