Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Falcons robbed the room for Felton. Final grade: B.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Falcons came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. However the rest shakes out, Felton at that price is a win they earned.

The Malcolm Roach deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Mykel Williams
In the Round 1 slot they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick46 Rnd2 Josaiah Stewart
No edge and no loss on Josaiah Stewart in pick 46; it is a wash and a sensible one. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick51 Rnd2 Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins at the 51st pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick118 Rnd4 Tai Felton
They barely believed it either: Tai Felton still on the board at pick No. 118. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick197 Rnd6 Upton Stout
Upton Stout at the 197th overall pick is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick218 Rnd7 Carson Vinson
A reach for Carson Vinson in No. 218; a little patience would have been rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick242 Rnd7 Jermari Harris
Jermari Harris slid further than he should have, and the 242nd pick is lovely value for the cornerback. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
