Call it belief, call it a gut call, but JD Bertrand at slot 195 is 26 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.

That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. With safety, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on offensive lineman is the choice that costs them. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
