The tape said wait; the Jets did not. Max Brosmer went at the Round 6 slot, a good 84 picks before the board was ready.

Schwesinger falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
