Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall A-
ValueB+ NeedB TradesA FutureA+
The Raiders robbed the room for Gabriel. Final grade: A-.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Raiders walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Gabriel. The Christian Kirk pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Jahdae Barron
In No. 25 they get a potential shutdown corner, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick37 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
Value with a capital V on Jalon Walker in Round 2, Pick 5, a genuine coup. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick58 Rnd2 TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson at the 58th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick68 Rnd3 Cameron Williams
No drama and no debate, Cameron Williams went about where he belonged in the 68th overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick108 Rnd4 Zy Alexander
A slide stopped in pick No. 108, with Zy Alexander worth more than the price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick143 Rnd5 Dillon Gabriel
They barely believed it either: Dillon Gabriel still on the board at pick 143. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick180 Rnd6 Ollie Gordon II
Ollie Gordon II at the 180th pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick213 Rnd6 Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson at No. 213. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick215 Rnd6 Ricky White III
No edge and no loss on Ricky White III in pick 215; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick222 Rnd7 Luke Lachey
A quiet steal in pick No. 222: Luke Lachey for less than the market said. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
