Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Commanders were there to profit. David Stone, the No. 10 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 51st pick. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end. The McDonald pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end, edge rusher and other spots.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
