Overall B-

More right than wrong for the Colts, and a B- to prove it.

For all the boxes ticked, the Colts skipped the loudest one: wide receiver is exactly as bare as it was.

However the rest shakes out, Mondon Jr. at that price is a win they earned. Bryant has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Tight end was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Walter Nolen
In pick No. 14 they get a load in the middle. A real need, handled.
Pick45 Rnd2 Harold Fannin Jr.
They let Harold Fannin Jr. come to them and pounced at Round 2, Pick 13. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick80 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
A slide stopped in the Round 3 slot, with Andrew Mukuba worth more than the price. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick115 Rnd4 Smael Mondon Jr.
A tidy bit of business in the 115th pick, where Smael Mondon Jr. graded well above the range. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick150 Rnd5 Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant in No. 150 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
