Lninostorm DRAFTING FOR THEChargers

Draft Grade — Chargers

FutureB-
Starks should have been long gone. The Chargers pounced, and earned a B. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Malaki Starks got past him. The Chargers do not have to explain a thing at the 55th overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
They let Tyler Warren come to them and pounced at the Round 1 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick55
Rnd2
Malaki Starks
They will replay Malaki Starks at pick No. 55 for years; that is how good the value is. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick86
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson at Round 3, Pick 22 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The roster fit checks out.
Pick97
Rnd3
Tai Felton
No edge and no loss on Tai Felton in pick 97; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
