The Falcons worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Falcons took Sam Hartman a full 62 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.

It is not that Solomon is a bad player; it is that the Falcons had louder needs to answer first.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
