The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Caleb Williams, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Reaching for Vidal left real value on the table behind him. Getting Pearsall where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
