The board owed the Chargers one, and it paid up: Caleb Douglas, the No. 167 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 204 like a gift left on the doorstep.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

The Gervon Dexter Sr. deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. They will need Delp to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
