Turner has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

A wild overpay on Shemar Turner in the Round 4 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick151 Rnd5 Barrett Carter
A linebacker of that caliber at the 151st pick is the definition of value, full stop. The roster fit checks out.
