The tape said wait; the 49ers did not. Elijah Roberts went at slot 138, a good 45 picks before the board was ready. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. That Gadsden II pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
