The phones sank the Cowboys this weekend: D-.

The Cowboys spent real capital to be 46 picks early on Tim Keenan III, and the board is going to hold them to it. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. The Cowboys indulged a want in Golday while a need in linebacker and tight end stayed open.

The Davis value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
