They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Tyler Batty, 97 picks early at pick No. 209. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

The Sanders value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
