The trade table was where it all came apart. The Patriots shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Reaching for Green left real value on the table behind him.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
