The phones sank the Cowboys this weekend: D-.

The Cowboys clearly saw something nobody else did in Da'Shawn Womack, taking him 86 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. With tight end and interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Allar value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.
