The Titans did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B. The Tanor Bortolini selection is the head-turner. The Titans reached 33 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They banked enough surplus on Jacobs to cover a lot of smaller sins. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.
Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In the Round 1 slot they get a cornerstone up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick38
Rnd2
Quinyon Mitchell
Quinyon Mitchell in No. 38 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick107
Rnd4
Jalen McMillan
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jalen McMillan in pick 107. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick145
Rnd5
Xavier Thomas
A reach for Xavier Thomas in the 145th pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick184
Rnd6
Tanor Bortolini
Value said wait; Tanor Bortolini in the 184th overall pick says they were not listening. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick219
Rnd6
Curtis Jacobs
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Curtis Jacobs in slot 219, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
