The Titans did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Titans walked out of the weekend still thin at running back, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. The bottom line is a respectable B.
Every board in the league had Raym lower, and that gap is the story. If one pick saves this weekend, it is McMillan. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Joe Alt
In the Round 1 slot they get a blindside protector. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick38
Rnd2
Kamari Lassiter
Kamari Lassiter at No. 38 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick107
Rnd4
Jalen McMillan
Jalen McMillan is a better player than the 107th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick145
Rnd5
Justin Eboigbe
No drama and no debate, Justin Eboigbe went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 9. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick184
Rnd6
Jaylan Ford
Jaylan Ford at pick No. 184 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick219
Rnd6
Andrew Raym
A reach for Andrew Raym in pick 219; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
