Funk DRAFTING FOR THEPackers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Packers

The Packers let Kiner fall into their laps, and walked away with a B. The board owed the Packers one, and it paid up: Corey Kiner, the No. 187 name on the board, sitting there at the 237th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
McLaughlin has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Jahdae Barron
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a ballhawk on the outside at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54
Rnd2
Tre Harris
Tre Harris at the Round 2 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick87
Rnd3
Jordan Phillips
A wild overpay on Jordan Phillips in the 87th pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick124
Rnd4
David Walker
They left a pile of value on the table to take David Walker this early at pick No. 124. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick159
Rnd5
Logan Brown
Logan Brown slipping to No. 159 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick198
Rnd6
Seth McLaughlin
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Seth McLaughlin well ahead of where he belonged. The roster fit checks out.
Pick237
Rnd7
Corey Kiner
The board fumbled Corey Kiner all the way to slot 237, and they scooped it up. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick250
Rnd7
R.J. Mickens
Steal is underselling it; R.J. Mickens at pick 250 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It adds depth where they could use a little.
