Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall A
ValueA NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureA
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Eagles and Lloyd: A.

You build a draft on nights like this. MarShawn Lloyd had no business being available in No. 172, and the Eagles did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The cost of the Stogner reach is exactly the players who went right after him. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

The Puka Nacua deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Bottom line, with Quinyon Mitchell leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick50 Rnd2 Quinyon Mitchell
Taking Quinyon Mitchell in the 50th pick is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick54 Rnd2 Taliese Fuaga
Taliese Fuaga at the Round 2 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick85 Rnd3 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper in slot 85 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick97 Rnd3 Brenden Rice
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 97th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick137 Rnd5 Beau Brade
They robbed the room for Beau Brade here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It fills a real need, too.
Pick163 Rnd5 Will Shipley
Somehow Will Shipley was still sitting there in pick 163, and they pounced on premier running back value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick172 Rnd5 MarShawn Lloyd
They will replay MarShawn Lloyd at Round 5, Pick 36 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick178 Rnd6 Austin Stogner
This one needs a full-page explanation: Austin Stogner in pick No. 178, miles early. The roster fit checks out.
Pick243 Rnd7 Sheridan Jones
Sheridan Jones at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
