Dreday45 DRAFTING FOR THEBears
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Bears
Overall
B-
ValueB
NeedB-
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Bears answered their biggest question with Daniels. Grade: B-. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Reaching for Stover left real value on the table behind him. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The skill positions did well by the weekend.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In the 1st overall pick they get a matchup problem out wide. A real need, handled.
Pick5
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
A straight-up fair deal on Jayden Daniels at slot 5, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick69
Rnd3
Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens in pick No. 69 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick105
Rnd4
Devontez Walker
Devontez Walker in the 105th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick128
Rnd4
Cade Stover
Cade Stover at Round 4, Pick 28 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A minor itch, scratched.
