Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesA- FutureB-
The Packers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Kedon Slovis at the 255th pick is 50 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

However the rest shakes out, Bertrand at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Dallas Turner
In slot 25 they get a bendy edge with upside at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick45 Rnd2 Cooper Beebe
A straight-up fair deal on Cooper Beebe at Round 2, Pick 13, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick58 Rnd2 Zach Frazier
By-the-book stuff, Zach Frazier at pick 58 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick77 Rnd3 Jaylen Wright
Jaylen Wright in pick No. 77 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick88 Rnd3 Trey Benson
No drama and no debate, Trey Benson went about where he belonged in the Round 3 slot. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick91 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
They paid sticker price for Khyree Jackson in the 91st overall pick, and that is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick123 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott at the 123rd pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick126 Rnd4 Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten at Round 4, Pick 26 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick150 Rnd5 Jarrian Jones
Jarrian Jones slipping to slot 150 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick169 Rnd5 Nathaniel Watson
A big swing on Nathaniel Watson at pick No. 169, well ahead of any board in the building. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick175 Rnd5 AJ Barner
AJ Barner at No. 175 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick202 Rnd6 Jaden Crumedy
A wild overpay on Jaden Crumedy in the 202nd overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick219 Rnd6 Curtis Jacobs
Circle this one: Curtis Jacobs at pick 219 is a fall that decides a draft. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick245 Rnd7 JD Bertrand
Taking JD Bertrand in the Round 7 slot is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick255 Rnd7 Kedon Slovis
Kedon Slovis at Round 7, Pick 35 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
