The Commanders let Pierce fall into their laps, and walked away with a B. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Hollin Pierce got past him. The Commanders do not have to explain a thing at pick 245.
If Yarns pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
