The Cowboys spent real capital to be 124 picks early on Tyler Batty, and the board is going to hold them to it.

Stutsman at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. With cornerback and tight end unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.
