The Seahawks did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Seahawks did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most.

Getting Johnson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Chris Bell
In the Round 1 slot they get a No. 1 receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick64 Rnd2 Chris Johnson
Nice patience on Chris Johnson, who had no business lasting to pick 64. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick96 Rnd3 Genesis Smith
A slide stopped in pick No. 96, with Genesis Smith worth more than the price. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick211 Rnd6 Barion Brown
A reasonable price with a little left over, Barion Brown in No. 211. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
