FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Ward in the fold, and a B- for the Titans. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Titans committed. Cam Ward is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The cost of the Dellinger reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
On value alone, Jones Jr. makes the weekend a net positive. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Cam Ward
In pick 6 they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick37
Rnd2
Emery Jones Jr.
A quiet steal in Round 2, Pick 5: Emery Jones Jr. for less than the market said. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick106
Rnd4
Andrew Mukuba
They paid sticker price for Andrew Mukuba in the 106th overall pick, and that is fine. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick144
Rnd5
Elic Ayomanor
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Elic Ayomanor at the Round 5 slot. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick180
Rnd6
Garrett Dellinger
They went early on Garrett Dellinger in slot 180, and the value did not follow. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick238
Rnd7
Dorian Strong
A clean, defensible pick in the 238th pick with a little surplus value in Dorian Strong. It adds depth where they could use a little.
