Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall B-
ValueA- NeedB TradesD+ FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Vikings and Mullings: B-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Kalel Mullings, the No. 114 name on the board, stolen at the 158th pick.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.

If Slater pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In pick No. 31 they get an anchor for the defensive front, and a steal at that.
Pick97 Rnd3 Devin Neal
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Devin Neal at pick 97 is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick128 Rnd4 Jared Wilson
Nice patience on Jared Wilson, who had no business lasting to slot 128. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick140 Rnd5 Jackson Slater
They paid up for Jackson Slater at the Round 5 slot when waiting would have done the job. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick148 Rnd5 O'Donnell Fortune
They will replay O'Donnell Fortune at the 148th pick for years; that is how good the value is. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick158 Rnd5 Kalel Mullings
They robbed the room for Kalel Mullings here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick161 Rnd5 Billy Bowman Jr.
A safety of that caliber at Round 5, Pick 22 is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick182 Rnd6 Pat Bryant
Pat Bryant in No. 182 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
