A weekend the Cowboys spent ahead of the board, for worse: F.

The Cowboys clearly saw something nobody else did in Patrick Payton, taking him 51 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Little went right, and the F does not pretend otherwise.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The Curry pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.

Landing Banks that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
