Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall D
ValueB- NeedB TradesF FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Seahawks to a D.

The phones were a trap the Seahawks kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Put together, it is a D.

The cost of the Limmer reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. With wide receiver, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on TE-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Nate Wiggins
They took Nate Wiggins at par in Round 1, Pick 16, which is nothing to complain about. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick53 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
No drama and no debate, Edgerrin Cooper went about where he belonged in the Round 2 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick94 Rnd3 Marist Liufau
They read the board right and Marist Liufau was the payoff at pick No. 94. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick98 Rnd3 Cade Stover
A surprising call. With wide receiver, running back and other spots still to address, they spent slot 98 on Cade Stover, a TE-EDGE they were not short of.
Pick118 Rnd4 Beaux Limmer
Beaux Limmer at pick 118 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick154 Rnd5 Layden Robinson
A reach for Layden Robinson in No. 154; a little patience would have been rewarded. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick194 Rnd6 Braiden McGregor
Braiden McGregor in the 194th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick215 Rnd6 Marcus Harris
The board had cheaper options than Marcus Harris at the 215th pick, and it noticed. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick236 Rnd7 Kedon Slovis
Good price on Kedon Slovis in Round 7, Pick 16, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
