When a board-topper like Keon Coleman slides to the Round 2 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Bills did not.

The cost of the McGregor reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Hadden pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
